Barbie & Mark: May 30, 2009

Gettysview Country Clubis a fantastic venue for a wedding in style.  Stephen photographed Barbie and Mark’s wedding on May 30, 2009.  He couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for an outdoor wedding.  This wedding was special in so many ways.  Barbie is one of the few brides to wear her mother’s own wedding gown.  The color was preserved and shone as a rich cream white.  The 50’s style gown flattered Barbie perfectly, all the way down to the antique buttons on the sleeves.  Mark’s granddaughter was the sweetest flower girl.  Her dress was custom made to match Barbie’s.  The pair of them walked hand in hand most of the day, their trains delicately flowing behind them.  Barbie and Mark are loving, family oriented people.  They wanted this day to be as special to them as it is the their parents.  Chickie and Andy, Barbie’s parents, were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.  Barbie and Mark had a cake made up especially for them to share in the cake cutting.  Barbie’s father is such a character, after the toasts he bent down to Chickie’s feet and pulled out her garter that she wore under her gown, sixty years earlier.  Everyone erupted in laughter and smiles and began dancing away to the DJ stylings of Gary Loe Productions.  Before Stephen knew it, Barbie had set out on the dance floor breaking it down to Thriller!  Overall it was a fantastic wedding to be remembered.  Please enjoy the video of Barbie and Mark’s entire wedding day following the photographs.
