Wedding Guest Books

•April 20, 2012 • Leave a Comment

Custom wedding guest books are a fun and personal way to remind you of friends and family. They are also a great way to showcase your engagement pictures. They become keepsakes you’ll want to reread on every anniversary. Each page has ample room for guests to write their well wishes next to beautiful pictures of the bride and groom.

Blake and Amanda had a lovely outdoor engagement session and even brought their furry friends! I can’t wait for their wedding at Butterfly Gap on April 28th.

Alicia + Brandon = Married in Dallas!

While in Dallas, I had a blast shooting Alicia and Brandon’s beautiful wedding on March 17. It was a beautiful afternoon with great weather. Alicia looked amazing in her dress surrounded with her bridesmaid in shades of coral. Everyone had an awesome time with the fun-loving bride and groom.

Congratulations Alicia and Brandon!

Springtime in Dallas!

•March 28, 2012 • 2 Comments

Dallas is such a wonderful place! I had such a lovely time with everyone, especially my friend, Paula who was gracious enough to house me for my two week stay. Her home is like being at a Bed & Breakfast. I had a blast with Paula, and I’m so thankful for her daughter, Julie and her beautiful daughters, Ava and Zoe. I always look forward to getting to go to Dallas and work… because it’s not like work at all! Love you all, I can’t wait for my next trip!

We had a beautiful photo shoot in the Dallas Arboretum, an absolutely gorgeous place for Springtime pictures!

Check back in a few days for Alicia and Brandon’s wedding in Dallas.

Emily & Brooks Riddle 2-11-12

Winter weddings are wonderful! Emily and Brooks chose a crisp February day for their wedding at the Reserve at Bluebird Hill. The bride looked beautiful in her beaded dress with a white fur wrap and had six lovely ladies at her side. This couple was such a joy to shoot, you could see the love in their eyes one another from the “first look” to getting into the limo at the end of the night. Everyone had big smiles on their faces and enjoyed the wedding and reception complete with a “candy bar!”

I photographed Chelsea and Matt Cunningham who chose BEAUTIFUL Norris Lake for their Trash the Dress Session before their wedding.  Chelsea didn’t Trash her real wedding dress she purchased another dress for this special occasion.  They are awesome at wake-boarding and wanted to try their hand at wake-boarding in their wedding attire… We were all impressed with Chelsea, who got up on her first try! This was a difficult task as the soaking wet dress was very heavy.

Whitney & Jon were married on April 4, 2010 at Hunter Valley Farms. They had a gorgeous outdoor wedding overlooking the lake and a beautiful reception held in the Pavilion. The decorations were true to the brides personality; decked out in pink and accents of black.

The majestic southern atmosphere of the Norris Dam Tea Room was the perfect setting for Samantha and Lucas Henderson’s July wedding. From the tall beautiful trees to the gleaming rays of sunshine; this venue could not have been more perfect.  Sam  arrived in a vintage yellow pick-up truck, driven by her father. The barefoot couple shared their vows in a beautifully lit amphitheater ceremony to show their relaxed and natural personalities. Sam looked stunning in her dress adorned in her mother’s veil as she walked down the aisle carrying a beautiful purple, pink and green bouquet from Samuel Franklin Florist.

In the beautifully decorated Tea Room, everyone dined on good ole’ southern staples like ham, chicken, greens and cornbread. For desert, a gorgeous cake decorated with purple ribbon fondant topped with a silver H. The adorable grooms cake was an edible Chaco sandal. Both were created by Jill Payne. The night ended with dancing, laughter and love!

When Tessa and Justin were looking for a wedding location, the Dancing Bear Lodge was the obvious choice with all the natural beauty that surrounds it.  I fell in love with the beautifully sculpted wood doors that give a dramatic contrast the delicate flow of Tessa’s wedding dress. http://www.dancingbearlodge.com/
